Class Description

Join me in this vibrant painting class where we bring the colourful charm of the Blue Tit to life on canvas. Birds are a wonderfully diverse subject to paint, and in this lesson you’ll learn how to capture their beauty with simplicity and realism—perfect for artists of all levels.

Your Learning Journey Includes:

🌿 What not to add to your background: Learn how to keep your background clean and subtle so your subject stands out.
🪶 How to paint feathers without having to paint the detail: Discover time-saving techniques to imply feather texture without overworking your brush.
📚 How to create layers of feathers: Master the illusion of soft, overlapping plumage using shading and colour variation.
🌳 How to paint a rough branch: Add character to your composition with a textured, natural-looking perch.
🎨 And much more… including brushwork tips and colour choices to enhance realism and vibrancy.

By the end of this class, you’ll have a bright, joyful portrait of a Blue Tit—and a set of bird painting techniques you can use again and again. Let’s get painting!
